About the small (the size A) Organicup itself:
- It is made in Danmark from high grade medical silicone.
- It comes with a pouch made in organic cotton.
- It comes in a bio-degradable envelope.
- It's cardboard box is at the same time it's instruction leaflet (I love!)
- The instructions and diagrams on the leaflet are clear and helpful
- Contains tips for cup newbies, which is great and makes you feel at ease
- The stem is solid and stretchy with kind of grip rings on it
- The grip rings on the base of the cup are pronounced enough to be practical but not too pronounced as if they would hurt
- Relatively soft rim that's not too prominent and nicely follows the shape of the cup
- The rim is a bit more firm, while the body is very soft
- The diameter of the cup is 40 mm
- The total height of the cup, including its stem, is 66 mm
- It holds 25 ml. (It's not clear on the box though if this is to the air holes or up to the rim!)

My opinion:
In & out:
Inserting the Organicup is not the easiest thing to do. I spent quite a while on trying to get it in. It was just so soft that, even folded correctly, it started bending every way when I tried to slide it in. Not funny! Especially not when your in a school toilet with only one cup wipe :o I felt really clumsy and it was quite the mess. (I daren't use toilet paper because of the fear that small fibers of it would stick to my cup, resulting in me getting TSS.) Luckily, I did have with me one organic bamboo velour wipe, which was a godsent! Note to self though to buy more of these, since only one is way to little if you make such a mess as I did :p A positive side to the softness of the Organicup is that even with all the difficulty inserting it, the Organicup did not hurt me in the process (being so soft). I can imagine that, with a firmer cup, not getting it in right away might do so if it pops open unexpectedly in the wrong place.
Once inside you, the Organicup is also not that easy to get it to pop open. You might even want to help it by pulling it's stem and going round the base to middle part of the Organicup with your middle finger pushing it a bit and feeling if it opened. When it (finally :p) opened correctly, I have to say that this cup, you really can't feel at all! It's great on a crampy day, when you could just swear you cannot bear to wear any of your cups, because you can feel them and they make you cramp even more, but still are determined that you do not 'want to feel all wet and bloody because it happens to be the heaviest day of your period'!
Getting the Organicup out again, also, is really easy (maybe sometimes too easy... Read below to learn more! :p) and, I daresay, painless (it is so soft! :p)! I could easily break the seal and walk it down. Punching it's base to fold it a tad to ease the taking out was also a no-brainer! The base is so soft it responds to your every touch! :D Pulling it out then becomes a whole let less scary, even if not everything goes as planned right away : ) Due to it's softness you will not that easily hurt yourself. So thumbs up for that one!
Stem:
The stem of the Organicup is solid, stretchy and has a lot of grip rings to it.
I like the fact that the stem of the Organicup is solid and that it has a lot of grip rings to it, which makes it easy to grab and easier to hold on to. That the stem is solid, also means that when boiling your cup to sterilize it, it won't attract water in it. Hollow stems do, and when you then want to try dry them off afterwards, you can burn yourself on the hot water that seeps out. My LadyCup surprised me by doing exactly that and it gave me a bit of a scare at the time so it is definitely something to be aware of.
That the Organicup's stem is stretchy, however, has both its pro's and its cons. A pro is that, because it is stretchy, the stem is easily bendable and it will adjust to your body shape once the Organicup is inside you. This way, the stem won't stab you, with as a consequence that you don't really would need to trim it that quickly. A big con in my opinion, however, is that if you pull the stem and then accidentally let it slip, it really hurts... Yeah, I did let it slip : ) Another con is that due to the stretchiness, I get the feeling the stem might break off leaving the cup behind inside of me.
Mildly embarassing cup story : )
Lol, it seems that with every single cup, there is a story to it :p It's getting quite funny :p Here's what happened to me with my Organicup...
It happened on my last period. I just had had my Spanish exam and went to my mum's to study. I was wearing my large Classic Yuuki cup and was very happy. Only, later on the day, early in the afternoon, I started cramping. At first, it were only mild cramps, but then they got worse. (rest will follow!! I'm tired now. Off to bed :p Sleep tight!)
Would I recommend the Organicup size A?
The Organicup is a good quality cup and I would recommend it, although if you prefer firmer cups, you might not like it, because it is quite soft (comparable to the Si-Bell cup (in my opinion)). Even though, finding myself having developed a liking more towards firmer cups, I like the Organicup more than the Si-Bell cup as it is less flared and seems to work better for my body shape. It also has a firmer rim, which makes that once you get it to open, it stays in place better.
Its softness, however, makes the Organicup a really forgiving cup! You will not easily be hurt by it! I would even dare recommend it to a beginner. Mind you though that insertion and getting it to open has a bit of a learning curve to it! Caution too to those of you who have a really strong pelvic floor! The Organicup may be too soft for you and your muscles might squeeze it shut, with an augmented chance of leaking!
The 3 videos below are from Organicup's Youtube Channel. Two are the same, but one is in English and one is in Danish. One is only in Danish, but if you might not speak Danish, it's still informative to just look at (plus you get to hear this beautiful language!).
